Showing and requiring fields

• Conditions show a field only when other answers say so. Join several with all or any. If you rename a field's key, every condition that used it follows the new key automatically.
• Required if makes a field mandatory only when a rule is true.
• Hidden fields never appear but can still carry a default, which is saved with the submission.

Limits and guidance

Numbers and text can have a minimum and maximum, decimals, a length, an input type or a pattern. They are enforced when a Call is submitted, even for optional fields. Help text, placeholder, unit and read-only guide the person filling the form in.

Choice and section fields

• Select picks one option. Multi select picks any number, optionally with a minimum and maximum; its answer is a list.
• Section is a heading with an optional description to separate questions. It holds no answer.

Calculations

Calculated fields use formulas that can compare values, use if, and, or and coalesce, and work on numbers, text and dates.

Preview before you publish

Preview runs the form with sample answers. Check answers tells you what a real submission would be told: which fields are missing or break their limits. Nothing is saved. Then Publish: each publish creates a new version, and devices pick it up on their next sync.
